Overview
Stripe Connect allows RQST.live to process payments on your behalf. When fans tip you or pay for song requests, the money goes directly to your connected Stripe account.
Note: You'll need a Stripe account. If you don't have one, you can create one during the connection process.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to Stripe Settings
In your RQST Backstage dashboard, go to the Settings or Billing section and look for the "Stripe Connect" option.
Step 2: Click "Connect with Stripe"
Click the button to start the Stripe connection process. You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure connection page.
Step 3: Sign In or Create Stripe Account
If you already have a Stripe account, sign in. If not, you can create one during this process. Stripe will guide you through account setup.
Step 4: Authorize RQST.live
Review the permissions that RQST.live is requesting. These typically include the ability to create charges and transfers to your account. Click "Authorize" to proceed.
Step 5: Complete Your Stripe Profile
Stripe may ask you to complete your business profile, including:
- Business type and details
- Bank account information for payouts
- Tax information
- Identity verification
Step 6: Return to RQST.live
Once you've completed the Stripe setup, you'll be redirected back to RQST.live. Your Stripe account should now be connected and ready to receive payments.
Verifying Your Connection
After connecting, you should see a confirmation in your RQST Backstage dashboard. You can verify your connection status and view payout information in the Stripe section of your settings.
Tip: It may take a few minutes for the connection to fully sync. If you don't see the connection confirmed immediately, wait a moment and refresh the page.
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
If the connection fails, make sure you've completed all required steps in your Stripe account setup. You may need to verify your email address or complete additional identity verification.
Can't See Payouts
Payouts typically take 2-7 business days to appear in your bank account after a payment is processed. You can check your payout schedule in your Stripe dashboard.
Need to Disconnect
You can disconnect your Stripe account at any time from your RQST Backstage settings. Note that disconnecting will prevent you from receiving new payments until you reconnect.
