A Spotlight page is your public artist profile on RQST.live. It includes:
- Your band bio, artist info, photo, social links (RQST Basic & RQST Backstage)
- Your live setlist (RQST Backstage)
- Your song catalog for requests (RQST Backstage)
- Your upcoming gigs (RQST Backstage)
- Your booking request contact form (RQST Backstage)
- A live request feature with optional tipping (RQST Backstage)
- Custom branding with permanent URL (RQST Basic & RQST Backstage) and a vanity URL (e.g., rqst.live/@yourname) (RQST Backstage)

Do I need an account to use RQST.live?
Artists need an account to create a Spotlight page, manage gigs, or accept requests. Fans do not need an account to request songs or send tips—RQST is built to make participation fast and frictionless.

RQST offers both free and paid artist tiers. The free tier includes core profile, setlist, and gig features. The paid tier adds advanced tools like real-time fan requests with tips, gig marketing tools, custom QR materials, and more.
For Artists
How do artists promote their gigs on RQST.live?
Artists can publish gigs with full event details including venue, date, time, map links, descriptions, and ticket URLs.
Once published, RQST automatically generates:
- A standalone gig landing page
- Social media share tiles
- A link preview optimized for Facebook, Instagram, and text messaging
- A QR code for flyers, table tents, mic stand holders, and posters

How do artists get paid for tips and requests?

- Fans can send paid requests and tips directly to the artist
- Payments deposit automatically to your Stripe balance
- RQST never stores sensitive payment information

How do artists receive song requests during a show?
RQST delivers fan requests to your Backstage dashboard in real time, with no page refresh needed. Artists can:
- See Pending vs. Played requests
- Update request status

Can I import my existing song list?

Do fans need an app?
No app download required—RQST works on any modern browser and is optimized for mobile.
Can fans see which songs are already played?
Yes. Fans can view the artist's song list, and depending on the artist's settings, they may also see a list of recent or in-progress requests.
Do fans pay service fees?
RQST does not charge fans any hidden fees beyond normal card processing. Tips and request payments go directly to the artist.

How do I update my artist profile?
All artist settings—including your bio, links, branding, and Spotlight customization—are managed inside the Backstage dashboard.
Can I change my vanity URL?
Yes. Artists can update their vanity URL at any time, as long as the name is available.
Does RQST work internationally?
Fans anywhere can use RQST, but payment features currently depend on Stripe-supported countries. More regions will be added over time.
Is RQST optimized for SEO?
Yes. Artist Spotlight pages and gig pages are automatically optimized for indexing on Google and social platforms. This helps new fans discover artists directly through search.
