John is a Singer / Songwriter based in Southern Oklahoma with roots in Houston, Tx. John has fronted and been a member of many bands since 1997, most notable The Badlands Band based in The Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. He first retired from the stage in 2005 but did a few pop up shows here and there with his former bandmates. In 2012 he re-joined forces with friends in Houston and started playing bass in a metal cover band. By 2014 John had developed several demons and had become a recluse living close to rock bottom. In 2016 John decided to take his life back and got out of the bottle. Meeting Kimberly helped him tremendously with his journey to a clear mind and sound body. In 2021 John and Kimberly moved to a house outside of Ardmore, Ok. There they found a really cool spot in old downtown Ardmore called "Cool Tom Records & Black Mesa Taproom II". They quickly became friends with the owner and when she was starting an Open Mic Night, John decided to attempt something he had never done, perform sober. There is where the pieces all started to fall into place again. From that open mic night John began performing around town and then started to perform in other parts of Oklahoma. In 2022 John scored his first opening slot for his pal Kevin Geil and his band Two Tons of Steel. In the years since, John has worked with not only Two Tons but Chris Knight, Jackson Taylor & The Sinners, Craig Wayne Boyd, and more. John now performs all over Oklahoma and North Texas. He has singles on Spotify, Apple Music, and most streaming services and is in the process of recording more. John still cannot believe he gets to do what he does. It is all he has ever wanted to do since he was a small child. Not a day goes by that John is not grateful for being able to reach out to people through music. Before every show John prays that through music, he reaches at least one soul that needs a happy beam of light, even if it's only for a 3 minute song. That is who he plays for. Sometimes it is one person, sometimes it is the whole room. It all depends on who is there. John is a born entertainer. He is grateful for his second chance.
